So inspired by set designer and art director Adi Goodrich, who's work I have recently discovered. I love the playful silhouettes, patterns, and colour in her work. She also has a pretty great visual diary!

I was recently commissioned by the lovely gang at InsideOut Magazine to develop some festive craft projects for their Christmas issue, which came out today. Between its glossy covers you will find nine pages of my Christmas craft and accompanying DIY instructions so you can make it all yourself! The shoot was styled by the talented Jessica Hanson and photographed by Craig Wall. Thank you so much to you Jess, and to everyone at InsideOut for the opportunity!

Other news at KP HQ: I currently have a lil' solo exhibition in the window space at Craft Victoria, the place where crafty dreams are made. My show is called Little Friends and is a collection of playful pinatas inspired by totems and spirit animals. It runs until 17 November. In conjunction with this I'm hosting a pinata making workshop this coming Saturday 2 November where you can make your very own Little Friend to take home. If you want to come along to this, you can book here. I'm so proud to be exhibiting at Craft Victoria, the work they do to support the local craft community is really unbelievable. Here are a few behind-the-scenesy images of my work for the show. Hope those of you in Melbourne can make it down to Craft @ 31 Flinders Lane in the CBD to see the show before it closes.

It's been a little quiet on the blog front lately, mainly because I've had my head down working so hard on a couple of projects that have just now wrapped up. The first was probably the most special thing I've ever been tasked to do - the decorations for my best friends Ana and Shunji's wedding. These two people are so dear to my heart and it was a complete honour to create some fiesta-inspired decoration concepts for their big day. We decked the reception hall out with colourful streamers and papel picado, and I made a huge paper flower wall for the photobooth. There was also a giant personalised papel picado banner which I'm trying to find a nice photo of still, as being a bridesmaid doesn't leave much time for getting any good shots of anything! Ana and I visited the flower markets at the crack of dawn and bought a whole array of beautiful fresh blooms. Everyone chipped in to make posies for the tables, it was lovely! As well as my own phone snaps, I've borrowed a couple from Shunji's sister Emi who was the official wedding photographer on the day as well as the creator of the most beautiful wedding cake ever (see it here). I'll try to find more photos as they emerge and share them here. Congratulations Ana and Shunji! I love you both so much. xo

When I was younger I LOVED Lisa Frank stuff, I went mad for it and spent nearly all my pocket money buying things like rainbow gradient letter writing sets and a million scented neon dolphin erasers. So it goes without saying that I thought this mini documentary (and interview) was SO AMAZING!!!!!!!

It's been a busy couple of months here at KP HQ. Here's a recent project I worked on with Australian stationery retailer Kikki-K. Using their fabulous wrapping paper and decorative cards I created a few little gift wrap ideas. There were a few other artists involved too, including Lulu Lucky, who I love. Check it out here. Coming up on the project front is something colourful with Sportsgirl, something for Christmas with InsideOut Magazine, an exhibition at Craft Victoria and a custom shop window for Melbourne store Hudson. Stay tuned!

If you're in Sydney this weekend you simply must visit the Mr Kitly + Dagmar Rousset Pop-Up Store at the Paramount Building in Surry Hills. These are two of my absolute favourite Melbourne boutiques, stocking so many great local designer goods. They've joined forces for this special event, but it's only on this weekend so you have to go! I recommend bringing a trolley because you'll want to buy everything.
Saturday + Sunday - 53-55 Brisbane Street, Surry Hills.
